Hey guys figured i finally place an official app so here goes
here's my junk:
Visit My Website
experience:have played since Feb 05
vanilla i raided mostly with irate pirates-MC(clear),BWL(3 bosses if i remember right),ZG&AQ20(clear),AQ40(barely)
BC raided mostly with blacklisted- Kara(clear),SSC(but no really enough to mention) then left in the migration to vita eternus and quickly decided it wasnt the guild for me
LK have been with you guyssince just before it came out and have seen Naxx,TOC,ICC,EOE,OS(pretty much all but uldar when i took an extended break from game due to rl)

availability: can raid most nights and believe the current schedule is sun, mon, tues and thurs and there shouldnt be an issue with any of those nights(really any would be fine as long as i can get on a schedule and quit spending most of my time hopin to catch a decent pug)

personal: 35 year old with a wife and 2 beautiful little girls, electrician, car guy, major NFL fan, enjoys walks down Darkshore, dirty sex in Booty Bay(goblin hookers are awesome)...but really ill show up ready to raid with flasks, etc, just need to get in 25mans cause im about 10d out and would rather do it with a guild ive been in for a while and dont plan on leaving.....also after being here all LKi would kinda like to be there when Frostmourne hits the floor for the first time

I'm kinda out of the loop with regards to recruitment but I know you've been around the guild for a while now and you've worked a lot on your toon, so if we're looking for any more melee DPS I bet you'd be a good choice. I always prefer to recruit raiders from within guild whenever possible. I'll mention it to officers when I drag my ass online.

I was in IP at the tail end of vanilla. What was your main?

Just looked you up on the Armory. You've done well with your current gear. The only thing I'd change is to swap a red gem for an orange in your boots to pick up the socket bonus (10str/10crit). The Meta gem isnt the recommended one, but I know why you chose it: easy requirements to activate plus the extra run speed.

Your Unholy spec is fine. No change needed (until the next patch sad.gif )

I would, however, change two of your glyphs. DnD and Disease are optimal for a pure aoe spec, but unless you are willing to dual spec Unholy for single target AND multi target, you are better off with the single target glyphs: Ghoul and Dark Death. The extra aoe damage is nice for trash, but the most important thing for success on bosses will be your single target dps.

Death Coil is Unholy's hardest hitting ability and the Ghoul glyph is necessary for single target fights as your ghoul makes up a significant portion of your damage.

hey thanks for the kind words there drake, thats kinda why i placed my app,i saw what just happened with a few recent raiders getting geared and leaving and if kinda offended me a bit because i do love being a member of Judgement and regardless if the raid thing works out or not have no plans on leaving

and telchor thanks for the advice im definately gonna try your suggestions as you pinpointed what my problem has been lately(great aoe dps buy only average st)i had even thought about switching between my blood spec and unholy to try and solve it but blood is hard to do great dps with how rotation sensitive it is so the main reason i still keep it is for a few dailies where the self healing helps me solo them with ease.
also my main back in the ip days was a rogue named robbi,i dont like to bring that up because of the way i was made to look after i left but the reasons they thought i left were very far from why i actually left, but if i remember correctly i think you joined on your pally maybe...telconter or something like that just never made the connection till you said you were there, but i still have a few people in ip i consider friends(myst and erics to name a couple)

I remember the name from back then. I joined on my pally Telcontar, then started raiding on my hunter, Hurin.

Single target dps as Unholy can be frustrating at times. It takes time to ramp up our dps and target switching can be a pain. Mainly, it comes down to your rotation and timely use of cooldowns during buffs like Heroism. Using Anti-Magic Shield offensively is a great way to boost your dps as well.

With the current Unholy builds using Reaping, the ideal single target rotation is generally this:

IT, PS, BS, BS, SS, DC
SS, DC, SS, SS, DC

I throw in HoW every time its available, during a free global cooldown.

I check the Elitist Jerks Unholy DPS thread fairly often. What sets the Unholy section apart from the rest is that the guy who updates it, also updates the post with info on whats coming in the next patch, so you can plan your next build/rotation.

I wanted to give you a little in-depth, hopefully constructive criticism about last night's raid performance. Some of this I'm sure you already know, but there may be a thing or two you can pick up to your benefit. Overall, you did very well.

We talked about being a little conservative on the dps particularly for boss fights you are new with. Its far more important on new boss fights to pay attention to your surroundings and learn what the specific abilities look like than to push the damage and die to something you werent paying attention to.

On a few of those fights, I only gave you a very brief description of what was to come. I think you applied that info well. The only fight I know you had a little trouble with was Blood Queen. Again, that simply comes down to knowing what your debuffs look like and reacting quickly. Repetition will fix that.

I do want to point out a few areas where you can possibly improve your dps. This is a side by side comparison of the buffs/abilities applied during the Festergut fight (I am on the left, you are on the right):

First thing, notice the difference between the amount of Death Coils we both used. This is partly because I used Horn of Winter 7 times during the fight. Thats 70 more runic power than you had. You may also be sitting capped on RP for a while if you arent using DC often enough in your rotation.

Empowered Rune Weapon is your friend. Make sure all your runes are on cooldown, dump your RP and pop it for some extra burst. I always use/save it for Heroism.

The reason to use Glyph of Disease/Pestilence on single targets is to increase the number of Scourge Strikes by removing IT/PS from your rotation after applying diseases the first time. Given this, you still used IT and PS too much, and you had fewer SSs than I did, not more.

Also, notice the number of IT and PS that I cast are identical. You have 2 fewer PS than IT. One thing to watch out for is boss turning. With a boss like Festergut who turns to cast Vile Gas on random raid members, you are more likely to have your attack parried or dodged because you have a higher expertise cap with mobs facing you than when from behind. IT wont get parried or dodged because it is a spell, but PS is a physical ability. Using some sort of visual disease mod will help you notice when this happens so you can recast PS. I use: Death Knight.Info Runes

Here is a screen shot of my UI during a Rotface attempt last night:

Notice the Death Knight.Info Rune mod above the player/target boxes. This shows rune cooldowns in addition to diseases. I have my Debuff display, threat meter, and DMB timers in a central location so I can easily see whats about to happen and what I need to react to.

Two things I know I need to work on and which may help you with your dps are using haste pots and being aggressive with Anti-Magic Shield.

Potion of Speed is best used during Heroism. The haste stacks and using them together provides the most benefit. It is also best to wait to pop Gargoyle until you have used a haste pot in conjunction with Heroism. The Gargoyle benefits from your haste rating at the time you use it, and does not benefit from haste buffs applied after it is already up.

AMS is a great way to increase your dps on fights where you dont need to use it defensively. Festergut is a perfect example. Using it as often as possible during the fight allows you to take advantage of the aoe raid damage to bump up your RP for DC dumps. In this case, it also acts defensively by absorbing some of the aoe damage causing you to need less healing.
