Last night in our raid I mentioned I had recently gotten the Razor Naga and it sparked a conversation about the Naga in particular and keybinding in general. So I promised I would post my bindings on the board for everyone.

A couple of disclaimers:
First, I turn pretty much every ranged spell into a mouseover macro.

Offensive spells usually look like:

#showtooltip Chain Lightning
/cast [target=mouseover,exists,harm,nodead] Chain Lightning; [harm,nodead] Chain Lightning

Or a variation like:

#showtooltip Purge
/stopcasting
/cast [target=mouseover,exists,harm,nodead] Purge; [harm,nodead] Purge

Healing spells look like:

#showtooltip Riptide
/cast [target=mouseover,exists,help,nodead] Riptide

Or occasionally something like:

#showtooltip Earth Shock
/cast [target=mouseover, exists, help, nodead] Chain Heal; [target=mouseover, exists, harm, nodead] Earth Shock; [harm, nodead] Earth Shock

That macro will cast Chain Heal when you mouseover a friendly target or it will cast Earth Shock on a hostile target. If you aren't mousing over anything it will Earth shock your target (assuming the target is hostile)

Second, I don't PvP much so I don't have any focus macros at the moment. But this is more about where things are, not what they are.

So plunging in. For starters I use SDFE for movement. Strafing is Shift S and Shift F.

My primary attacks on all my characters are on T and R. For the shaman that means:
T: Lightning Bolt
Shift T: Purge
R: Flame Shock
Shift R: Frost Shock

W is almost always an AoE.
W: Lava Burst
Shift W: Chain Lightning.

Q: Flame Nova.
Shift Q: My Gift of the Naaru + Lifeblood Macro

A: On every toon this is Assist.
Shift A: Grounding Totem

Z: Water Shield
Shift Z: Earthbind Totem

X: Hex
Shift X: Tremor Totem

C: I leave that as my down/sit button.
Shift C: On every toon this is always my trinket. If have two activated trinkets then it will be the most important of the two, the second trinket will be macroed to a cooldown ability.

V is typically an interrupt or something important.
V: Wind Shear
Shift V: Earth Shock

B: Ghost Wolf (travel form on my druid, I found I have to keep GW and travel form on the same button or I have problems)
Shift B: Call of the Ancestors (aka the button that plops down all four my totems)

G is my cooldowns/defenses/OH CRAP button. For the shaman:
G: Nature's Swiftness/Thunderstorm depending on my spec.
Shift G: Stoneclaw totem LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!11!!!1! This will change to Spiritwalker's Grace in Cata.

Number keys are for my heals and/or situation abilities that are not casted on others. I use the default UI so that's the bar can can shift, I leave Shift 1 defaulted so I can always get back to that bar in a hurry. This worked out well because straight out of the box the Razor Naga's twelve thumb keys correspond to the number keys. This means it matched up to my heals automatically without me moving anything.

Shift + number keys are for odds and ends like Mana Tide totem, Totemic Recall, ect.

While I do have the heals bound to keys on the keyboard I do 99% of my healing with my mouse. I just find it easier and more intuitive. Here's how I have my heals bound on the old five button mouse:

Shift Left: Lesser Healing Wave
Shift Right: Healing Wave

Button 4 (the main thumb button): Chain Heal
Shift Button 4: Cure Toxins/Cleanse Spirit
Alt Button 4: This is the rez on every toon that can bring folks back to life.

Button 5: Riptide
Shift Button 5: Earth Shield.

Middle button: Water Walking
Shift Middle: Water Breathing
Come Cataclysm I will probably put Healing Rain and Unleash Weapon here.

Obviously I'm already looking forward to Cataclysm and thinking about where I'm going to put things. The Naga is helping immensely with that, quite frankly I'm going to have more heals than I can fit on five buttons without using Alt and I try to avoid that. I have small hands and I don't like big stretches or shifting position more than I have to so using control is a no-go and while Alt is okay on the keyboard that I use with the desktop it is an awkward reach on my laptop so I don't want use it more than I have to.

There are some not-to-outdated shots of my UI in the healing post in the shaman forums and I don't have any fresh shots of my UI on this computer so I might add in something later. I was temporarily tinkering with having my totems singularly on my number keys instead of my heals but that didn't work out so 1-6 are the heals again. The number keys on the far right (7,8,9,0,-,=) have always been odds and ends. Sometimes I click them, sometimes I try to bind something to them. I'm very glad I'll have easy access to them with the Naga.

Quick rundown the of the way I have heals bound on the mouse for the druid. Her keyboard binds are complicated because I use shifting bars for different forms.

Middle button: Rebirth
Shift Middle: Innervate
Alt Middle: Tranquility

Shift Left: Nourish
Shift Right: Regrowth
Alt Right: Healing Touch

Button 4: Rejuvenation
Shift 4: Lifebloom

Button 5: Swiftmend
Shift 5: Wild Growth

Cleanse Poison and Remove Curse are on the keyboard since I ran out of mouse buttons. Obviously I like to put abilites with cooldowns or long durations on button 5 since I don't hit them constantly, that holds true for all my healers. Heals with cast times that I use a lot are always shift left and shift right (Lesser Healing Wave/Nourish/Flash of Light vs Healing Wave/Regrowth/Holy Light).
